Respond to of 219165 Hello EP, happy to hear from you and trusting you have been and are well. You have been off the SI grid for more than a year. Erita and Jack are a year older, now 9.5 and 3.5. Erita was doing well in her previous school and is doing fine in her new school. She changed schools since November; the reason is one of education philosophy. We wish Erita to continue to love learning as opposed to not enjoying Mondays. In the mean time Erita won número uno for all-HK Chinese brush calligraphy. Erita is popular w/ her coterie of young ladies, between ballet this and sports that, and parties. The boyz stand no chance w/ Erita. Erita remains very good friend w/ the German Swiss boy Paul w/ whom she essentially grew up with. Jack has steadfastly refused to engage w/ the school interview process by the simple expediency of stepping on either his mom or my foot and holding on tight, "take me home now". I secretly applaud Jack's smarts, resist now, from the get-go, because whatever it shall all involve, nothing doing. Jack is a lot of fun. Jack is popular w/ the girlz, or so their parents report to us, "Michelle cannot stop talking about Jack", "Karen wants to know whether Jack can come to her party. She just keeps saying, "I love Jack, I just love Jack". Erita can and shall be able to take care of herself. Jack may need a lot of luck. Watch and brief. In the mean time, re your "Déjà Vu", otoh cycles certainly at play, but otoh, the script may not play out the same way due to too many factors. The problem bothering me is that the financial market of which energy, gold and the usual tech this and consumer that are a part, are held hostage to some great forces, for example demographics and quantitative easing. The authorities the world over are doing all they can to forestall what we may assume to be the inevitable. We are put in position to have to guess at how long resistance remains effective, and when the gaming finally goes kaboom. The geopolitical situation certainly adds a few degrees of uncertainty and therefore risks. I like the setup, but ... Under the circumstances I am ... cautious, doing much of nothing in the market, holding to rental this, gold that, and platinum something else, and am focusing on real world activities that may turn out okay. The best defense is a good attack, and am well into a good attack. Cheers, tj
