I don't know but one can presume that a very large number are because blacks have a larger average family size. If you are not alarmed by the number of poor blacks who live are raised by single moms then you do not know what is going on in the cities or you do not understand the sociological considerations of it. There are a very large number of 23-year old black men who have kids by 3, 4, 5, or more "baby mommas". Many of those kids are dealing drugs, in prison, in gangs or otherwise not involved in their kids' lives. They have grown up with a total sense of entitlement to taxpayer benefits until the day they're locked up or killed by some kid on the next block who has his own problems.
