I have them each mounted on floor stands with glass shelving underneath. The picture quality is great, but I'm sure there are better ones available. These were bought in 2010 from Walmart, which is usually selling closeouts. I'd expect the tech in these to be from around 2008. The Altec Lansing speakers are a discontinued model, coveted for their remarkable clarity and bass response. Like the TVs they are budget with quality components. They have a left and right channel, satellite speaker (mounted on sticks) and a 6" woofer. They are a perfect color match to the TV. I acquired 2 sets last year on eBay after waiting some time for their appearance. I paid a little over $100 for each set. The sound is very good, providing clarity for television voice, and excellent dynamic range for music and sound effects. As seen in the image, they are THX and the spatial quality is very noticeable. The Xbox 360 is connected through HDMI. I don't use Microsoft's service. Once the free trial was over, I shut it off. No streaming features in the Blu-ray players. They were also Walmart purchases in 2010. Cheap and functional. One's a Samsung. The other's a Philips. Apple TV gives me access to way more online content than I can use. Right now, the TV's primary function is to display programming received from Dish Network. I use the Hopper and a Joey to get HD content on both TVs. Streaming to the Apple TV is wireless over Wi-fi. The router is a Netgear Rangemax Duo Wireless N Router, model # WNDR3300. Never had a lick of trouble with it.
