It's really hard to imagine INTC at 40; you would have a P/E of TEN for a company with a five year average growth rate of 40% per year, and even if you think that 1998 will be "weak" (Intel's weak is everybody else's outstanding blow-out), don't forget that MERCED is coming in only about 18 months or so.

Anything can happen, but Intc at a P/E of ten would be a real stretch.
