Micron's Ads, Computers, and Stock Price: -
I have traded MUEI several times over the past year. last sold at 14.50 and bot back at 12 and 10 5/8. Am in astonishment at the action of the stock price. either i am stupid or this is one of the biggest bargains on the market. I recently upgraded my system, shopped for a 233/266 PII with Dell and Micron. Wound up buying a 266 from MU. they have a very nice package, prebuilding nice systems that they can ship the next day. while i didn't need a computer that quickly, dell's telling me i would have to wait 3 week for the 19" monitor did annoy me and was a reason i went with Micron. REgarding their ads, yes I certainly agree they could have more pizazz. Hopefully they will seen that just spending bucks isn't as important as the effect you create. look at dell's ad with the guy tied up trying to get to the phone to order. that's a good ad. Hopefully monday's earnings will be ok to good. I can't imagine the stock not having discounted everything from nuclear war to aids. good luck to us. Larry

I agree. I was VERY pleased to see them move in a big way to the TV media, World Series and all. This will help build brand name image. And frankly, DELL does almost nothing in this medium. But the ad itself is weak. I do not see how they can play off an MIS type employee as if they are IBM. They need to build an MIS image first. Some hard hitting stuff on the product itelf. The product itself is MUEI's best asset. I have never seen a company with such strong product, piss it away with such week marketing in the broadcast media. On the other hand, I think their magazine advertising is superb ...which is why I am typing this message on a Millenia 200. <g>
