The bull/bear ratio on SI seems to be near an all-time low, but I can't see that it really means anything. Any opinions to the contrary?

Bonnie Bear:- Darn lurker!!!
:-)) The rest is hype. I don't know? TV couch potatoes will have a reason to sit 24 hours a day talking to each other when the net gets on cable tv. will be a lot faster that it is now.IMHO. Aw hell, when did I have a humble opinion.

:-((

Bonnie, I agree. I think it's for this reason that the vast majority of internet stocks will be lucky to fetch a few bucks and that's before they go out of business altogether. But I do believe the internet will grow quite alot. It's function will be to fascilitate commercial transactions, conduct business in general, for academic and practical intruction, and for leisure. Who would want to go down to the video shop to rent a tape when TCI in 5-10 years, using cable modems or whatever they evolve into, could very well offer any movie at the push of a few buttons. Exciting stuff.

Been cold up here in the north bay since the storms passed. Almost seems like the midwest again (but not quite -g-).

Bonnie, is SPY basically equivalent to the S&P 500 in value?
Do they ever trade at a discount/premium (seems unlikely, but
what do I know). Considering a SPY short at some point for more
hedging.

Oh yeah, is there a similar thing available for the Dow?

(I noticed some pretty scary ads for Dow options over
Thanksgiving!)
