I do not have any knowledge to enable me to related to your post, all I know is that I witnessed the invasion of Hungary by Russian Army motorized forces first hand. This event even that happened close to 50 years ago shaped partially my understanding of Russian politics.

A small country of less than 10 million Hungarians, where of no real economic interest except the action was of pure vengeance of the Russian regime at the time, that someone dared to not walk the line, and submit itself to further oppression. .

After 1991/2 I was of the impression that this type of oppressive imperialism died away with the new regime but it seems it has not.

Is it so hugely surprising that there are Russian special forces in the Ukraine?
But that would mean that Putin has lied to the world..

And no one gets away with calling Putin a liar..

So be prepared.. he likely to have your house annexed.. ;)
