Well, in the 12-16 issue of PC magazine, their "needing repair" record was only average, below Compaq, Dell and IBM. At the same time, the Millenia MME, characterized as a "mainstream" system, showed up on their "Performance/Features vs. Price" chart as delivering the best overall value. Their discussion, though, did not play that up. They preferred instead to concentrate on the poor sound, which I can certainly vouch for unless the upgrade sound card (AWE 64) is selected.

PC week did love the Millenia XKU ('high end").

I don' know nuttin' 'bout Windows magazine.

8 December The Micron Powerdigm XSU, winner of repeated recognition from PC Magazine, was awarded Best of 1997 in the Desktop PCs: Workstation category. The Powerdigm XSU was also recognized as a finalist for the PC Magazine Technical Excellence Award.

18 November Micron has won the PC Computing MVP Award for the TransPort VLX notebook and for the Vetix LXI server. The Millennia MME desktop won the Home Office Computing Editors' Pick Award. The awards were presented in Las Vegas at COMDEX/Fall '97.

20 October Micron received the number one ranking in "The Best PC Technical Support: HomePC's Third Annual Exclusive Survey." The results of HomePC magazine's PC support survey of more than 10,000 HomePC readers, ranking 12 major manufacturers on their reliability and support, are published in the magazine's October 1997 issue.
