Mark Twain touched on a real conundrum. After he learned to read the Mississippi, he lost the naive ability to appreciate the beauty of it.

Now that you are an author and understand the craft did you lose the naive ability to appreciate writing? Or did you gain more than you lost?

What is a 'copy editor?'

I usually associate a copy editor with newspapers.
