we of true faith believe ...
(i) people must be prepared to fight for the very important principles they truly believe in
(ii) fair-play has no place in a true fight

let us hope the important fight would be short in precious duration, and that the sharpest pain lasts but a merciful moment

recommendation: think of all financial asset of paper / electronic ledger sort simply as a variation of bit coins stored on to-be-scratched-by-brillow-pad hard drives

let us pray before we prey

and

let he whose work we do sort out the fallout

From an economic point of view this adventure does not make sense no mater how you cut it. Who needs a population of 46 million in a country with outmoded industry and on the brink of an economic collapse.

It is all bravado and stupidity loaded with fear for personal reasons, not Russian national interests.

In an afterthought, it may be that the "grand scheme" was actually to drive a wedge between the US and EU and by this subduing EU independence due to its dependence on energy supplies from Russia - but this is my own imagination and speculation.
