Now I will be thinking about my liability for helping someone. I'm out of my element here, but I did just move to a new state so I had occasion to change my insurance and noticed how little an umbrella policy costs. Haven't looked carefully at its provisions in this context because I mostly got it to protect me if someone fell over the loft railing of down the spiral staircase in the condo where I used to live and as a supplement to my auto liability but that might be worth looking into if one is predisposed to jump in and help.
