You have your opinion, I have mine, and black people have theirs, which they express in their voting preferences. Yet, you say they are "wrong". I, and they, say YOU are wrong. We'll just have to agree to disagree, and vote accordingly, yes? Ben Carson isn't going to change their mind, or mine.

Political conservatism in the US isn't about subservience or oppression of any group, at least not more than progressives/liberals.

Uh...........conservatism as practiced in this country has a history of being on the wrong side of oppression and disenfranchisement of certain groups. Now I am not talking the ideology but rather the people who promote the ideology.
