Sure, don't exaggerate it only allowed for modern civilization and a comfortable primarily pain free and sickness free existence.

Go to Africa where they have very little applied science. You will see very few old people!

Many look for the flaws in science which is sick. Instead of the good science has done.

Science has extended our life span bey decades in the last century, put men on the moon, cured myriad terrible diseases and allowed us to get operations pain free. A compound fracture before modern medicine meant the limb needed to be amputated, without putting one to sleep.

Sure there is always the human condition, but most of the scientists are good guys who have done great things for mankind and yet the right wing ridicules them.
