<And I agree with you that even the USA isn't operated on a totally "Free market" basis, and some of the good-ole-boy syndrome happens here as well, but I think it's the extent of the atrocities that is the painful difference between here and there.> Yes, I agree that our system reduces the extent of misallocation of resources compared to theirs. I also think however that even a perfectly competitive market system will misallocate resources due to limitations of our brains! Much like any other animal we tend to focus our attention on whatever is moving at a given time. DAK
