What a scary thought. Just what arbitrary percentage of market share does a company have to achieve before it's deemed to be too successful and a threat to the poor consumers? 90%? 80%? 50%? What's to stop Apple and Netscape, creators of a supposedly superior OS and browser, from merging and creating an integrated desktop that can operate on x86 as well as Apple hardware?

Looks like The American Dream has been modified. Be successful, but not overly so, or you will be punished by the government. Don't you think people like Jobs, Ellison, Andreeson, McNealy, et all, would dearly love to be monopolists ala Bill Gates? And if they had the business acumen to achieve that goal, do you think their supporters and shareholders, who now whine to the government, would be singing a different tune when the feds put the screws to them?
