It is pretty clear that the economy collapsed principally because it had become clear that Obama would be the next president. While we were already suffering a mild recession, the realization that a grossly incompetent community organizer would be at the helm starting in January was just too much. Thoughtful business managers recognized the impending disaster and acted accordingly, as they should. America deserved an economic downturn for voting in an idiot in 2008.
