That is outdated ;) - there have been at least another 12.5 million shares retired in the most recent quarter and there will be additional millions of shares retired throughout the year.

Those of us who were attracted to AAPL at the mid-2003 14ish technical breakout and have held those shares ever since…in my case, to avoid taxes…are finding ourselves after the new split in a pretty unusual situation…receiving an $80 stock virtually cost-free…

14 split 2/1 = 7; 7 split 7/1 = 1..
