So a rational buyer might think to him or herself that other irrational buyers will enter the stock now, creating upside potential.

I tend to invest in others speculation.

And as someone around here used to say:

Q: Why is that stock going up?
A: Because people are buying.
Q: Well, why are they buying?!
A: Because the stock is going up.

Seems inconsistent of Apple:
On one hand, they encourage those who don't agree with their political agenda to sell.
On the other hand, they're seeking to have a small number of irrational buyers purchase the stock.
