Respond to of 1578027 ....this guy seems to be in the same boat as that Jolly guy...,,,,the establishment Republicans can't control him so they just as soon he not get elected. Please read this message from our sponsor, Calvin D. Turnquest for Congress . Remember last month's crucial special election on the west coast of Florida, when David Jolly pulled out an impressive victory? The Washington GOP wants you to remember this key Republican victory - but there's one thing they want you to forget: Why? Washington Republicans realized that he wouldn't be a reliable "go along to get along" vote, so they were willing to sacrifice his seat. Simply because David Jolly made it clear that he would not be their puppet. And now, the very same story is playing out in Florida again - in the race I'm fighting. They are doing the same thing to me in the primary process. Let's be clear: I will not be, and I will never be their puppet. I'm no cookie-cutter Republican, that's for sure. I'm a proud black conservative who supports the Tea Party. I'm a believer in the Constitution of this great nation, and the principles of our Founders. I'm a legal immigrant who will unabashedly argue to secure our borders first, and implement an immigration system that does not ignore justice in the name of compassion. I understand why they might fear me. I'm not going to Washington to warm a seat. I'm not going to Washington to just pad my resume and maintain the status quo. I am going to stand up for conservative principles, and I am going to make waves. Now, let me be clear about something. I'm no fan of my Democrat opponent, Patrick Murphy. I don't like his unwavering support for the entire Obama agenda. I don't like that he's a Nancy Pelosi cheerleader. I don't like Patrick Murphy. But I don't fear Patrick Murphy. Let me tell you what I do fear. I fear the inner-workings of the GOP Establishment that they will use to see one of their own nominated to take on Murphy - someone who is certain to lose. The same people who stood by and remained silent, while Allen West went down to defeat, are actively supporting someone else, who will end up going down to an even more devastating defeat. Now, I know that a lot of the local establishment in Palm Beach wants a reliable establishment candidate. I'm sure the NRCC wants him. I'll bet John Boehner wants him. And I'm entirely sure the lobbyists in Washington DC want him. One thing that we know is that an establishment insider will go to Washington, and vote like he's told. He'll never fight for a single conservative principle. And honestly, he'll do it gladly. He doesn't believe in a single conservative principle. He'll be a safe bet for Boehner, and the crew in Washington who want nothing more than to go along to get along. He'll compromise. He'll surrender - if he even bothers to fight. He'll squander the blood, sweat and tears that every grassroots Republican, and every committed conservative, have put into righting the country's direction. What the Establishment wants is someone who is more comfortable with lobbyists than with Conservatives. Friends, that's a risk we can't take. I'm the underdog in this race, and I know it. I'm comfortable as the underdog, as long as I'm fighting a fair fight. I like my odds in a fair fight. I'm fully committed to winning, and fighting for your votes and your support, every single day. I'm going to run like the conservative fighter I am, because I want a Republican Congressman that will scare Nancy Pelosi, and send the clear message to John Boehner that citizens decide on their representation. I'm not the GOP Establishment guy, but I am the guy solid conservatives want. When it comes to our community, our country and our Constitution, we need a candidate who will never compromise. I am that candidate in the FL-18 race. We can't let the Washington GOP establishment pick winners and losers in these primaries. I simply cannot settle for changing the course that led me to run for national office - a course that began with a boy's dream for a better life, in an amazing country, and led me through the legal immigration process to citizenship - and give up. Especially not because my own party doesn't want people who are willing to take on the tough task of encouraging growth and innovation, without compromising the foundation of our Constitution. Will you join me in the fight to challenge our own party to be better? To take back a seat from the left, and strengthen the influence of the House, by making it a deeper shade of red? Join me in this battle, and we'll make history together. Thank you.
