<<I knew it was coming, but I never did short. Too tough to call the time.>>

Has 'it' come already?

Some momentum has left the stock, but real problems remain.

I've followed Netflix in-depth for over 10 years, more in-depth than I've followed any other company. And the more that I learn, the more convinced I am that Amazon is making a multi-billion dollar mistake here.

Remember a couple years back when everyone was talking about the death of Netflix due to billions of dollars of off balance sheet liabilities? Well now Amazon is similarly on the hook for billions. The difference is that Netflix was able to pay for its liabilities through massive subscriber growth while Amazon's streaming service is gaining little/no traction.

Rather than give up, Amazon is compounding the problem by screwing around with its core business (i.e., increasing Prime pricing) in order to subsidize SVOD losses and continue signing big content deals (i.e., HBO).

I think that this will take another 2 years to play out, and based on everything I know about Netflix and this industry things will end very bad for Amazon.
