I've known a number of marijuana users and most of them never got arrested for that. The few that I know of that had marijuana arrests (all of them when young) didn't spend a lot of time locked up and being locked up didn't really do them any long term harm. In fact, in a few cases it served as an intervention that stopped some bad trends that were going on.

long as there is a black market for marijuana, .....

As long as the states tax it and there are people who can't walk into a store and buy it legally due to age, there will be a black market.

The problem here is that you and many conservatives are so dogmatically opposed to drug abuse (as most of us are) that you are willing to sacrifice 10 kids to stop one from getting high.

I don't expect to stop drug abuse. And I don't expect legalization to make most of the problems with drug abuse go away.

I DO find this morally offensive and find it really weird to be told that my revulsion means I want 10 kids to die or spend life in prison:

I know what marketing is and the above is an attempt to produce products that will introduce cannabis to really young kids.
