That kid on his twitter site is gushing about Toyota leaving Calif for Texas, was he as happy when Exxon decided to move its Virginian opps over to Irving as well? As if this is California specific...

Underneath, one can't think of all the many natural reasons for these choices being made. These kinds of business migrations have been fluctuating similarly for centuries based on varying ports of trade, treaties & just pure cost cutting economics (labor/raw material) nothing supernatural about it sorry to inform you.

Almost all of California's coast line & much of Oregon/Washington & BC Canada are in huge demand for the quality of the experience. The effects of decades of fast & furious growth plus a huge tech boom created perfect storm for high cost of living & highest land value/taxes. What just amazes is that this is pointed to as some failure when the forces at play were and are still monumental, especially since the last crash & recovery.

& and now crash again..

Maybe they should try hand in growing vine grapes & vineyards, want to see huge land values, then look no farther than Napa/Sonoma/Marin/ Mendocino/ SanMateo counties, Ca. (highest values in the USA are in Napa).

Man does not live on natural gas alone, can take or leave wine or beer but there's the demand none the less, the energy wars will arrive in the next 5yrs unless science saves from that next disaster....better pray they do.

So far we have postponed the inevitable there, just barely.
