You can call all sorts of things an insurance policy, but some of them are not really providing insurance.

Also you ignore the 2nd point in my post. The group policies also involve discriminating on the basis of risk factors.
Assembling groups as pools to spread the risks around is a basic form of insurance and is easily the most common form of insurance. Your car ins., your homeowners ins. are all based on group risks.... Those types of policies are win-win for most everyone over the course of their life....
