Thanks for 'grats! I don't have a good take right now on the general morale at the Big O. IMO the stock price is not going to materially affect the compensation of the rank & file sales reps, developers, etc., because the stock purchase plan is only something like 10% of salary, and in any case volatility actually benefits the ESPP participants because of the way the plan is structured. So I don't see reps jumping to VNTV as a result (as TD speculated). The really important thing is the ORCL retains the big guys, i.e. Lane & Henley, and lets Lane manage a lot more of the company, e.g. the applications business (in my own opinion).

Your post led me to belive that Turano has now gone to Vantive? That's from Oracle to Siebel to Scopus and now Vantive is a little too much. If it's true I am having second thoughts on Vantive's judgement.
