And I just posted we liberals got rid of the bastard LBJ. We ran him right out of office by running Eugene Macarthy against him in the primaries. It split the democratic party, but we knew it was the right thing to do.

I was very involved with that effort and remember exactly where I was when he was about to get beat in a primary and quit. "I will not seek, nor will I accept, the nomination-------
