Actually blacks normally voted Republican, when they were allowed to, historically. They transitioned to the Democrats gradually, FDR brought many in in the 1930's and LBJ really cemented a majority of blacks in the Democratic party. “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” —Lyndon B.
