Ted,
I am afraid you rely too much on anecdotal evidence, or your memory....
Again, when was the last time you've been to California?

I've got over 180,000 miles on my car, almost all of it within California. I fill up on average about once a week, once again almost always in California. I have seen gas prices fluctuate over the past 11 years from $2/gallon all the way up to above $4.50/gallon (including today, thank you Obama), but never above $5/gallon. Never.

And I have to fill up on premium, so the gas prices I'm paying should be higher than what most Californians have to pay. Hence if anyone had to pay $5/gallon, it would have been me. Yet I never did.

So tell me again, you filthy troll. When was the last time you've been to California, and who the F are you to tell me I need to see a doctor, Mr. PTSD?
