There is no controversy about FDR and the New Deal, except the revisionist history the right wing thinks up.

People started with overwhelming debt in 1932 and by 1950 they were almost out debt and we had the strongest middle class we have ever had, before or since, and a zillion new businesses and jobs had been created and the federal debt was being paid down so fast from all the new taxes being paid we were in great shape.

History finds FDR as our greatest president of the last century.

He not only pulled us out of the great depression he won a huge world war.

You must live on a parallel planet where that wasn't true?
