According the WSJ (citing IHS, a market research outfit), an S5 costs $251.52 to make vs. $207 for the iPhone 5s. Who'd have thunk it! Crappy and cheap-looking stuff for more money. Wow! That's innovation for you <LOL!!> And that's not all. The maker has far more price control up and down the manufacturing chain than does Apple, considering it produces a number of the key components itself. Perhaps the next step for the creatively challenged wannabes in Suwon is to copy Apple's manufacturing chain... ya never know! A shame that can't be patented ;-))

If aapl hits 100 this year post split it's going to be because estimates are way too low and enough money finally realizes it. Aapl just beat estimates by 14% and future estimates didn't go up that I saw. I see that next fiscal year estimates are at 47.64. That would be around 10% growth year over year. Does anyone really think that they will only do that much, including the bigger buy back? Will the stock rally hard into fall and THEN estimates will finally pop?
