No doubt, which is why the NBA's actions were unnecessary. Unnecessary usually means unwise and consequential. The backlash is a comin. I doubt any decent (unpaid) person will even want to be seen with him or associated with him at a distance. However, how do you apply this same standard to everyone in a just and fair manner? You can't without a dictatorial regime applying it to subjects. The ramifications are huge. This is what will be at issue as soon as the smoke clears from his burning stake. Does he deserve social approbrium and to loss his status, position, wealth ... absolutely. But the standard which has been set can not stand as a standard for everyman. How do you apply this standard to such a bunch a a-holes (7billion or so)?
