<<My
guess is that Iomega stuffed the channel to report that 10 millionth zip shipped, and now
there's excess inventory.>>

Iomega reports Zips sold, not Zips in the channel, so 'stuffing the channel' would have zero efect on the announcement.

Iomega also makes no claim that they make announcements immediately upon reaching any level of sales, only that they've exceeded a particular level. Therefore they may be past 11 MM and have not yet made the announcement. (There is no guarantee that they will even make an announcement, although personnally I think they will continue to do so for the publicity.)

The only 'bear' scenario (if you want to call it that) would be that the backlog of orders in late third quarter and early fourth that were filled created the sales of 1MM per month during that time frame. If we're not there during December, it's close enough that I believe we will be at or over 3MM for the quarter!

>>I have reports from Florida, New York City, and Seattle, about Zips not selling. One salesman estimated zips sales were down 20%.

WOW ! How can anyone argue with that kind of investigative reporting ?

You are about as credible as Geraldo !
