Until a few weeks ago, Nextel and a duo of AMPS were the only game in town. Nextel was so much better and cheaper then the others that making a switch was a no brainer.

Today, Sprint PCS's ads are all over the place ($30/mo for 300min, of which 150 are off-peak), and Nextel's are nowhere to be seen. That worries me. For all I know, some of my friends may have switched already.
