>> Where does it say that the taxpayer has to help pay your business expenses......

There are basic precepts of taxation, just as there are of engineering and other disciplines.

One of those precepts is that a tax structure must leave the taxpayer with the "wherewithal to pay", i.e., if one's profit is $10 the stream of taxes due on that profit may not exceed $10 since the taxpayer would not have earned enough money to pay the tax.

If business expenses were not tax deductible you would have a "wherewithal to pay" issue, since the tax liability on the gross revenue, for many if not most businesses, would exceed the money the taxpayer had to pay the taxes due. Thus, such a tax violates basic concepts inherent in any system of income taxation, and cannot exist on an ongoing basis.

Nowhere. Deductions for business expenses are not "the taxpayer helping to pay for" the expenses.

I had assumed it was just insurance that you don't understand. Now I see it's business, in general. I wonder how you have managed to reach this point in life at all let alone solvent. Or maybe you aren't solvent, which might explain your politics.
