Is it possible that CPQ postpone the split due to depressed share prices?

Yaacov,
I don't know. Hope somebody will be able to answer your question.

Yaac....the authorization of shares by shareholders was confirmed by the company today per Dow-Jones newswire. At the time of the announcement(about 6 weeks ago)the CEO or CFO(can't remember which one)was interviewed on CNBC. When asked why the split, he answered by saying that it would create more liquidity allowing more people to buy and then said "we like to keep it around 35." IMO, since the stock won't split til 1/21, it's reasonable to believe that 70 is possible. Keeping the "35" premise in mind, the split still makes sense. S.
