The only handouts involved are from the taxpayers to the government. If it takes less it is still taking not giving.

That would be true even if deductions for expenses were special targeted tax breaks. Then I would be against them, but they still wouldn't be handouts to the company. The money the company makes is the company, if it gives any of it to the government then the government is taking not giving.

But deductions for expenses are not even a tax break. Companies get taxed on their profits not their revenue. (And if they did get taxed on the revenue the rates would have to be miniscule, and even then you would drive some of them out of business.)

Next thing you'll tell me that farm subsidies are not being paid by the taxpayer

Farm subsidies that are actual subsidies, are paid for by the tax payer. Other benefits the government gives some farmers are paid for by consumers in the form of higher prices.
