dax, I think you're right that the non-applacability of the wash rule is a factor in increasing the supply of warrants; most warrant-holders would now be selling at a loss, which could offset gains in other areas in what has been an up year for the overall market. The net effect of this should be to increase the immediate sell pressure on the warrant and increase the potential for buy pressure on the stock. Not all of the investors who choose to sell for a loss and purchase the stock will choose to make the purchase before the end of the call. Percentage-wise, buying before the call period ends may be the right move (plenty of supply that will dry up come 12/23) but the sting of a loss does tend to make one extra cautious. Once burned, twice shy.
