A plus 9.0 earthquake would generate a tsunami that would strip everything off the San Jaun Islands. No place to hide there, except on a boat out at sea, over 400' elevation asl on mainland.....

Hydrological models done at the U of W estimated about 5 to 10 feet on Puget Sound.

Even less in the San Juan's.

The biggies would be on the Oregon, Washington and B.C. coastline. (The Pacific ocean)
