You can not broadbrush an entire population unless they're southerners, tea partiers, conservatives, Republicans or any other group liberals hate.

I'm a conservative and I've been more outspoken than anyone here, INCLUDING YOU, about the ridiculous incarcerations of simple drug possession offenders. It isn't a liberal/conservative thing. The liberal prison/law enforcement unions have consistently backed harsher penalties for almost all crimes, particularly drug crimes.
