weakness? ... Hi Darrell, Compared to most other of my tech's orctf has held up pretty well... and compared to the other xdslers: awre, pair, wstl, and maybe adtn... it has also held up ok .... tho last few days have been a little rough ... am not aware of any specific orctf news which might be affecting things... The only asian exposure i am aware of for orctf would be the n. american partnership thru fujitsu and the china hdsl contract... Would not really expect either to be particularly affected by current events... and neither are producing significant revenues at the present time ... Noticed your post on the 75000 trade...seems rather on the large side for orctf... It wasn't that long ago that volume was regularly around that for a whole day. Every once and a while volume seriously spikes (+300,000/day) with no released news. Sometimes later things can be reconstructed, sometimes not.... The co told me once "We have various relationships with many companies who decline to publicize this involvement"... translation: "we will release news when our partners allow us.." ... and thus news seems to trickle out on the wires late in the game.... example: rok/orctf and siemens/orctf cooperation, working relationships which go way back, but only recently have become public... have generally given up trying to time it... Next news might be the distribution partner, could either be a snooze or another big name... could be next week or mid 98... FWIW... This last summer something like 10 mutual funds had positions in orctf... From your posts it seems you understand trading patterns/mm strategies well... From where you sit is there any way to tell when there is foreign trading in orctf and what that volume might be? Also would be interested in your take/interpretation of trading... (who might be up to what and why)... Am asking about foreign trading as orctf would seem to be a particularly interesting stock for europeans and others, who are closer to ground zero for overseas xdsl rollout... (hans are you out there? Any adsl info on KPN-Netherlands?) During the next six mo's things could get quite volitile... as you are probably aware, orctf is in that awkward stage between being a story stock and a viable business entity. If all goes well, serious revenues should start flowing towards the end of 98 and into 99, along with xdsl rampup and deployment. Until then, it's going to be partnership etc announcements, future revenue projections and hope and fear that's probably going to drive the price ... hopefully we'll have a tender win or two announced to tide us over, but again, probably those won't be announced til the 11 1/2 hour.... If the next 6 mo are anything like the last 6 mo, should at least be an entertaining trip... best wishes s
