We can say several things about sophistication. In general it is something considered to be pleasing to the eye, suggesting a complexity and an intricacy of circumstance and experience. As we become more affluent wielders of information and technology we are also becoming more sophisticated as educated and skilled individuals and as a society. Is that all good? What should also be kept in mind is that sophistry is something offering a superficially plausible characterization while generally being imbued with false methods and reasoning. Truth seekers know to simplify and remove all superficial barriers and screens separating us from unadorned realties of existence, which reveals to us, the human condition has remained unaltered throughout time and circumstance.

Sophistry:
1. a subtle, tricky, superficially plausible, but generally fallacious method of reasoning.
2. a false argument; sophism.
