I was feeling good about the last few minutes of trading today...slight uptrend. Then a scary thought hit me....this was probably just some short covering before the weekend. aarrrggh.

I tried to daytrade this puppy today hoping for a decent bounce. Now I'm in at 17 7/8 and holding.

Here's to a furious Xmas rally next week..starting monday.

Cheers.

Mike

BTW...my spec portfolio is down about 30% from its high around the end of Sept. ouch

This is why the long term holders will win.
In any market trend is your friend. Since July it's
been a down market. Tech stocks go up in burst. It's
up trend do not last long. To win big you have to wait
for the up years like 1995 and get out. The Asia
problem will affect some tech companies, but it's
lower cost will benefit some box makers and creaf alike.
Just look at how dell and cpq did in the big sell off
of 1995. The fundamentals of the graphics and
peripherals group is
much much better than 1995. At that time it was also
affected by the transition from 2D to 3D. This time
there is no major product transition problem. It's
only an Asia Flu.
Creaf will be the financially sound company to survive
the crisis and wipe out some of the weaker compatitors.
Creaf do not manufacture it's own chip so margin will
not affected by lower producers in the region. Sim's
strategy to secure it's bottom line
by focus on ernings is to secure it's future growth.
I think creaf is looking better than ever. It's price is
cheaper than ever. Even though technically it might
go to 14-15. Short term traders tend to get out too soon
to rip the big profit. And also get killed on the down side
by a few big loosers. I tried short term trading since
July. Even though I did more than 50 trades and most of
the trades I did are winners (95%). Two bad trades wipe
out all my gains. I decided to wash my hands and say good
bye to short term trading. It's more rewarding to
accumulate when the market is basing and spot the big
trend reversal to get out. I think this is the way to
play the tech stocks.
