Fair Feline, never over-estimate a dumb mining dude. Q: What do do call a mining geophysicist with 2 brain cells?? A: Pregnant! <grin>

The grades and thicknesses at SVB are not at all consistent. I still believe the 11%-Ni-grade was remobilized along a shear inspite of the IR's magmatic proclamation--(I've seen high-grade remobilized stuff that looks similar to your NY meteorite too--it can be a tough call texturally). The troctolitic mineralization has the potential for tonnages but I think grades approaching +2% are required at Harp Lake.

If the VB genetic model can be applied liberally at SVB, it's suggestive to me that the SVB troctolites, ortho-gneisses, and mineralization seem more "chopped-up" or faulted to me. However, feeder zones at VB are almost always along the EW-trending normal faults, so lots of faulting and extension (i.e., rifting, Vaughn) can be a good sign. I'm hoping Teck or Donner hires a structural guru and soon.

See, I'm real easy to coax. Best Regards, T.

P.S. You're very observant and I agree toujours; been GP-flying near the Mighty Peace and the Alberta rush could get hotter in '98 <grin>.
