Reminds of the time Zitel announced a $5,000,000 buyback of their stock.

What a crock!

If they actually follow through, I guess that means that $10,000,000 more of their cash will vaporize into worthless toilet paper...making the price go even lower.

By the way, one of the surest signs that a company is a scam on the verge of unraveling is when they start playing unusual games with the stock (announcing buybacks that don't make any sense, floating massive convertibles, etc.)

Don, I don't know about Zona, but most share buyback announcements are never executed. The "real" ones usually say XYZ will buy back # xxx shares or $xxx worth of stock. The fishy ones always say "up to" which could mean anything, no firm commitment. I sometimes search out these "up to" announcements for a quick short, it usually means the stock is being hyped.
