Then outraged at the incredible racism of being defeated by a Latino Republican, Crist became an Independent. In the general election, Crist was running against Marco Rubio, a Latino Republican and Kendrick Meek, a Black Democrat. Bill Clinton begged Meek to drop out and let Crist win, because while there are plenty of Black politicians, there was only one Orange politician. But Meek was too racist to listen. And Charlie Crist lost. By a landslide. Orange-Skinned Democrat Who Lost Race to Latino Republican, Blames GOP Racism
