Sure. But it isn't because mom and dad said, "Smoking pot is okay but don't do anything else."

It is because of the other factors I've mentioned.

You can tell your kids, "Don't ever drink a beer because you'll like it" -- every single day. But eventually, pretty much all of them are going to trying drinking beer.
