I used to oppose gay marriage on the basis that the term "marriage" had a specific meaning in the law, and to change the term after-the-fact was likely to lead to unintended consequences. At some point it occurred to me that I couldn't reconcile my position that government ought to stay out of peoples' private lives while limiting who could marry whom, and I left that position behind (along with the view that if someone wants to marry a goat or his porn screen that his business). It was the correct decision.

You aren't doing that. At one point you claim there is racism all over the place, yet you continue to practice it yourself when your first point about many of these things is what color are they. You try to pretend you don't care about homosexuality then you come here and try to use it like a political weapon against someone who may or may not be but what the fuck business is it of yours.

The term for this is "lip service". You talk a good game but when you get down to it you are a racist homophobe. You can fix that if you choose to but you have to decide where hypocrisy is on your list. For me, it is pretty high. For you, it appears to be unimportant. That is your call, of course, but it does affect the way thoughtful people look at what you post.
