I finally figured out my problem. I was choosing a copy of the printer to install instead of the original printer itself, and even though the install seemed to work flawlessly, the printer wouldn't print. I somehow missed the original printer in the install list offered by Windows while there were several copies of the printer offered up for sale. (sigh) It's hell getting old.

Many thanks to all who offered thoughts and ideas to help me out. I appreciate your efforts!
