"I wonder if it took you and Eric 6 yrs to install your solar panels once you decided to do it?"

I decided to do it "someday" long about '76. When I decided to do it "tomorrow", there was a panel shortage, so it was a slow process. Between that and the rainy season, prolly took me 18 months, but I didn't have republicans to hurdle.

Mine were originally installed new in 1991.

I added to the system in 2000 with panels of the same age that I bought used.

All panels were made by Solarex. MSX-60 and MSX-64 type.

I got a great deal on the used panels.

But I should have waited.

New panels today cost 1/4 of what I paid per watt back in 2000 for the used ones.

Plus the advantage of a 25 year warrantee.

My used panels didn't come with a warrantee.
