Moon,

Interesting article. Thanks for posting the link.

I find this whole Beats buyout interesting from several different standpoints.

First, is that it is related to music, something that was near and dear to Jobs soul. Interesting that many say they don't like the sound of the headphones but they also say Apple didn't always have the best quality music at the iTunes store.

Second, I, like many others who are looking at the synergies between the 2 companies, feel that the music streaming business may be the string that draws Apple and Beats together. The headphones are big with the kids in school so I think it also helps Apple with this crowd(and most of this crowd grew up on mp3s and knows very little about music quality).

Third, many that don't like the deal never got Apple to begin with, or missed big time and got into Apple very late in the game. Maybe they are not correct in their assessment of the deal this time as well. At least I hope that is the case.

Lastly, because Apple is so secretive, I wonder if there is something else that is behind door number 1 that we are not seeing.

Those are my thoughts on the matter. As always, time will tell who is correct.

Good luck out there.

Neal
