Ok, the reason behind the "potential" tie ratio decrease: Is it that
consumers who buy OEM with Zips in them don't have the same
storage option requirements as those who buy the Zip drive outright?
Wouldn't this tend to be a bit of a temporal dip increasing
as people put a few files on their complementary disk, then go
out and buy gig-o-colors for all their planned storage needs?

Allen, If the channel was so stuffed in Oct, why couldn't I find Zips in numbers anywhere I looked? Same with everyone else who posted here then. Let's not let BO rewrite history. We were there. No internal and few external Zips anywhere you looked all dang summer and half this fall. Externals appeared in quantity in Nov. Still waiting for internals. If IOM stuffed the channel, it was the most stealthy channel stuffing ever. Perhaps they all got stuck in transit in the UPS strike. :0)
